After years of research, SPD Corporation. has come out with SPD Pipe (Steel-Poly Double pipe). As SPD Pipe is a double structured pipe that combines steel pipe and HDPE(High Density Polyethylene)pipe. It is different from the ordinary waterworks pipe made of tarred DCE cast iron pipe or steel pipe with coating and painting.

SPD Pipe consists of steel pipe(ASTM A53, 120) and HDPE, so it has advantages of both of the material. That is, steel pipe allows good tensile strength, shock resistance and earthquake-proof. As a result, SPD Pipe does not cause any corrosion and has an excellent earthquake-proof property. Therefore, SPD Pipe is the most suitable for drinking water pipe.

Furthemore, SPD Pipe is best for the purpose of drain water piping construction site, because we have reduced its weight by 50% than ordinary no-hub type cast iron pipe. And the combination of steel and polyethylene reduces noise and provides an excellent earthquake-proof.

Because the surface of the pipe is made of steel (ASTM A500)and the inside is made of polyethylene(ASTM D1248), SPD pipe is harmless product to people.

SPD Pipe respects the traditional piping system and can be easily installed by the traditional jointing technology of grooved, coupling, flange type fitting and home joint.
